Debra Lynn Wallace Paintings
Creativity for Positive Affirmation.

"My interest in painting began in 1995," says Debra Lynn Wallace. Although through sewing and drawing she has had a creative nature since she was a youngster. Her paintings show her passion for the warmth color brings and a patience for details. It has been said that her 12-piece Neighborhood Series is full of emotions.
Debra is a self-taught, minus once college level drawing class. "I give a lot of credit to the many people, novices and experts, who have given me counsel. Researching and studying artists' styles and stories, talking with other artists and people involved with the arts, is a continual source of motivation and inspiration," says Debra.
Debra obtains the brilliant colors and details of her paintings using acrylic paints. She loves the process of painting the details of the people, houses, trees, grass, and flowers shown in the Neighborhood Series. When painting floral and still life paintings, Debra is absorbed in painting the details in the fabrics or baskets painted in these still life paintings. Debra has also used glass beads and cut, glazed wood twigs from her yard to design a borders. Her latest mixed media, still life painting, which is untitled at this time (shown on the homepage, bottom), is also evidence of her passion for detail. She used bronze glass beads, interchanging two sizes of these circular beads, throughout her creation of the border design.
From 1995, she has participated in art festivals, juried and non-juried art shows and competitions, chaired an art festival, and has been a featured artist.
"My hope is for my paintings to leave a positive imprint with the viewer....Kuumba. All to His Glory!"
